Waivers for Work Due to Hurricane Ida Damage

Mayoral Emergency Executive Order No. 235 includes the waiver of application fees beginning September 1, 2021 for any due to damage caused by Hurricane Ida.

The DOB system was updated to allow for a waiver of these fees beginning on September 14th. Refunds may be requested for any application work Hurricane Ida related work filed from September 1st – 13th.

The Emergency Executive Order also allows for the waiver of the following Local Law permit restrictions:

Local Law 160 of 2017 – Owner Arrears

Local Law 104 of 2019 – Multiple Dwellings with Excessive Open Violations

Local Law 114 of 2019 – False Statements and Work Without a Permit
