Periodic Inspection of Parking Structure (PIPS) Compliance Reports are due to the Department of Buildings by December 31st, 2023, for property owners in Manhattan Community Districts 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6, and 7.
At least once every six years property owners are legally required to hire a licensed Professional Engineer and file a condition report with the DOB, with deadlines for the first inspection reports varying depending on where the parking structure is located.
The DOB’s new PIPS Map shows deadlines for submitting parking structure inspection reports in an effort to keep buildings safe.
