Did you know that there is a DOT construction embargo in effect next weekend?

There will be a special event construction embargo in effect for Easter Sunday Mass at Saint Patrick’s Cathedral.  The embargo is from 12:01 am Friday, March 25^th through 11:59 PM Sunday March 27^th, 2016.  The embargo is located in Manhattan along Fifth Avenue only, from East 47^th Street to East 57^th Street.

As with all DOT construction embargoes, only emergency work may take place. Emergency work may be performed is an emergency number is obtained by the permittee pursuant to the provisions of section 2-11 of the Department’s Highway Rules which can be found here. Emergency authorization must also be obtained for utility cover openings.
