DOT Construction Embargo: January 25 & January 28 – February 25

We want to remind everyone about two upcoming DOT Construction Embargoes in Manhattan that may affect your projects.

The DOT imposes construction embargoes during special events. During embargoes, all active non-emergency DOT permits in the affected area are suspended unless a special waiver is granted by DOT. Emergency work may be performed is an emergency number is obtained by the permittee pursuant to the provisions of section 2-11 of the Department’s Highway Rules which can be found here.
A special DOT construction embargo for necessary concrete repairs of the Trans-Manhattan Expressway Connector Ramp, between the George Washington Bridge and the Harlem River Drive, Borough of Manhattan for locations noted here. This embargo will be in effect for the period of Friday January 22, 2016 at 10 pm, to 5 am Monday, January 25, 2016.
There is also a special DOT construction embargo for the 2016 New York Fashion Week near Clarkson Square and Moynihan Station in Manhattan for specific locations noted here. This embargo will be in effect near Clarkson Square for the period of Friday, January 29 through Thursday, February 25, 2016 and near Moynihan Station for the period of Thursday, January 28 through Wednesday, February 24, 2016.
